CTW Events Powering Purpose: Inside the 2025 ACI Charity Duck Race & Kit-Build in Orlando

Amplify our impact by sharing this post

CTW Events brought its signature high-energy team-building to the 13th annual ACI Charity Duck Race on January 29, 2025, at JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes. The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) and Shell Chemical LP hosted the duck race, raising $50,000 for The WASH Foundation, and CTW Events powered the pre-race kit-building sprint, blending corporate camaraderie with global impact.

Over 50 decorated ducks raced down the resort’s Lazy River as industry teams cheered. Companies competed for “People’s Choice” (voted by attendees) and speed awards. Though our duck didn’t win, the true victory was the $50,000 raised for hygiene initiatives for The WASH Foundation, a 25% increase from 2024.

CTW Events Kit-Build

Before the ducks hit the water, CTW Events transformed a conference room into a purpose-driven arena. Teams from ACI-member companies raced to assemble hygiene kits in a 15-minute frenzy, with scores calculated by dividing total kits packed by volunteers. The intensity peaked as 2,500 kits were built—most donated to The WASH Foundation for wildfire relief in Southern California and other crisis zones.

Why This Work Matters

  • 2,500 kits: Built through CTW’s scalable team-building model, these kits amplify disaster relief efforts via trusted partners.
  • Corporate impact: As ACI’s Douglas Troutman noted, “Programs like these turn industry action into community transformation”
  • CTW’s legacy: Since 2012, CTW Events has facilitated 6.3 million kits and 237,193 hours of team-building globally.
