Bringing Hospitality, Media, and Purpose Together in Central London
As part of a one-day bleisure FAM trip organized by Custard Communications across four iconic London hotels, CTW Events hosted a hands-on activation at the Royal Horseguards Hotel. The experience brought together a select group of hospitality and media professionals for a team-building opportunity that combined connection, impact, and purpose: assembling hygiene kits for families in need.
This wasn’t just a networking moment. It was a purposeful pause, a chance to connect through shared action and give back.

The Experience
In collaboration with Custard communications, the day opened with meaningful conversations around the evolving nature of bleisure. What does the rise of bleisure say about today’s workplace culture? Is it still a novelty, or has it become a deeper reflection of how we work and travel?
Those questions came to life during the 45-minute activation, as attendees from PA Life, The Hotel Magazine, M&IT, Travelling for Business, Boutique Hotelier, The Silver Nomad, and others joined together to build 200 hygiene kits for Little Village, a London-based charity supporting families with children under five living in poverty.
The hotel’s meeting space quickly transformed into a lively, collaborative environment filled with conversation, laughter, and intention. From writing notes of encouragement to packing essential supplies, the atmosphere was grounded in a shared sense of purpose
“There’s something incredibly special about bringing people together for a shared purpose, especially when that purpose is giving back to those who need it most. The energy in the room was uplifting — a day of connection, conversation, and collective impact.”
— Austin Eaton, Head of Marketing, CTW Events Europe & UK
The Outcome
200 hygiene kits donated to Little Village – A charity partner of the Royal Horseguards Hotel.
Little Village makes a big difference to families with babies and young children living in poverty across London. Via our network of baby banks we pass on loved goods from one family to another – clothes, toys and equipment – so that many more babies and young children have the essential things they need to thrive.
Families either visit a Little Village hub, or items are packed with care and delivered to their home. But it doesn’t stop there. We also connect families into a wider network of support, helping them to build and extend their own ‘village’. And we raise our voices for change; sharing the stark realities of too many children’s lives in London.
Thanks to the generous donations of loved items, precious time and money, since we launched in 2016, Little Village has supported more than 32,000 children.

Looking Ahead
As the bleisure trend continues to shape how we travel for work, this event demonstrated the powerful role that purposeful experiences can play, not just in delivering impact for communities, but in inspiring and uniting teams.
The event was a reminder that CSR can and should sit at the heart of modern events. From media connections to hands-on collaboration, the impact extended far beyond the event itself.
If you’re planning a press day, corporate off-site, or incentive trip, CTW Events can help you design an experience with lasting purpose.
