The Hygiene Kit Build Returns to IMEX Frankfurt

CTW Events was proud to return to IMEX Frankfurt 2026 to host another purpose driven Hygiene Kit Build experience, bringing together attendees from across the global events industry to create meaningful local impact in Frankfurt.

Following the incredible response in 2025, attendees once again came together throughout the three day event to assemble and donate 600 hygiene kits to Bahnhofsmission Frankfurt, a local charity and support organisation based at Frankfurt Central Station.

The kits included essential hygiene products such as bamboo toothbrushes, dental tablets, shower gel, and shampoo, all designed to support individuals facing homelessness, financial hardship, travel distress, or crisis situations.

For many attendees, the experience became more than just a volunteer activation. It became a moment of connection, reflection, and contribution within an otherwise fast paced global team building environment.

Real Local Impact in Frankfurt

Bahnhofsmission Frankfurt is part of a Germany wide network that supports people in need. The organisation provides immediate practical support for vulnerable individuals, travellers in crisis, families, and people experiencing homelessness.

The 600 hygiene kits assembled at IMEX Frankfurt 2026 were donated directly to the organisation to help provide dignity, comfort, and essential hygiene support to those who need it most.

The activation demonstrated how large scale events can create immediate positive social impact within the communities they operate in, simply by integrating accessible volunteer opportunities into the attendee experience.

Volunteerism That Makes People Feel Good

One of the most powerful aspects of the Hygiene Kit Build was how simple and accessible it was.

Attendees could stop by between meetings, conversations, and education sessions to spend just a few minutes assembling a kit. Yet despite the simplicity, the emotional response from participants was significant.

Many attendees shared how happy and fulfilled the experience made them feel, knowing they had contributed to something tangible that would directly help another person.

The activation created a visible sense of positivity and human connection across the show floor. People packed kits together, spoke with colleagues, met new people, and shared conversations around giving back, sustainability, and purpose.

Research continues to show that group volunteering and CSR focused activities improve workplace wellbeing, strengthen employee relationships, and increase engagement.

According to research from Stanford Graduate School of Business, company supported volunteering helps strengthen social bonding between colleagues while increasing connection to organisational purpose and values.

Additional 2025 research from Benevity found that companies investing in employee volunteering programmes are primarily focused on:

  • Boosting employee engagement
  • Increasing community impact
  • Strengthening company culture and connection

Purpose driven experiences like the IMEX Hygiene Kit Build continue to demonstrate how events can support both attendee experience and meaningful social impact simultaneously.

Supporting ESG, CSR, and Sustainable Events

The Hygiene Kit Build aligned closely with IMEX Frankfurt’s wider sustainability and ESG commitments.

As one of the leading events in the global meetings and events industry, IMEX continues to champion responsible event practices, sustainability, and long term industry transformation through its ongoing focus on net zero ambitions and positive social impact.

By integrating volunteerism and charitable giving directly into the attendee experience, the activation demonstrated how large scale conferences and exhibitions can go beyond networking and education to create meaningful community impact.

With thousands of industry professionals attending IMEX Frankfurt each year, initiatives like the Hygiene Kit Build show how events can become powerful platforms for giving back while creating memorable and engaging experiences for attendees.

The experience also reflects a growing shift across the UK and European events industry, where organisers, brands, and attendees increasingly expect events to deliver value not only for business, but for people and communities too.

Today, CSR and ESG initiatives are no longer viewed as optional additions to an event programme. They are becoming a core part of how organisations build culture, engage employees, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and create experiences that leave a lasting positive impact.

Why Purpose Driven Team Building Matters

Corporate volunteering and purpose driven team building continues to grow across the UK and Europe.

Research from ESGmark in 2026 highlighted that:

  • 92% of employees say volunteering strengthens relationships with colleagues
  • 85% say purpose driven team building increases loyalty to employers

The same report also noted that volunteering consistently improves employee wellbeing, while helping organisations strengthen brand trust, employee retention, and community engagement.

At CTW Events, this is exactly what purpose driven experiences are designed to achieve.

By combining team connection with direct community support, organisations can create experiences that leave a lasting emotional impact on both participants and beneficiaries alike.

Conclusion

IMEX Frankfurt 2026 once again proved that business events can be platforms for meaningful human impact.

Through a simple but powerful volunteer activation, hundreds of attendees helped assemble 600 hygiene kits that will directly support vulnerable individuals across Frankfurt through Bahnhofsmission Frankfurt.

More importantly, the experience reminded attendees that giving back, human connection, and purpose still matter deeply within the events industry.

As the future of events continues to evolve across the UK and Europe, purpose driven experiences like these are helping redefine what successful events can truly look like.

Together, one kit at a time, the industry continues to prove that events can create impact far beyond the show floor.
